Hey moms,
How’s it going?
I’ve recognized over the years, as I’ve listened to moms and heard their childhood experiences or those who have endured the physical loss of their own mother at any stage of life that Mother’s Day can be tough. Further, mothers who have lost a child within, or outside of, the womb. Others still may be dealing with the estranged relationship with an adult child. They are so many dynamics at play.
Mother’s Day holds a lot of different emotions and expectations for each of us.
Whatever the circumstance, motherhood, in all its complexities, is a blessing.
I have been blessed with an amazing mom, who, since becoming a mom myself, I have grown to appreciate even more. I look back on my childhood and all that she was able to do for my sister and I, as a single mom, and think “how did she do it?”.
My mom is an inspiration to me. And other moms that have become a part of my village, moms like you :). You challenge me by your examples, to grow. You give me grace when I mess up, love me and my family well and speak truth to me whenever I need it. To you all, I say, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY. Thank you for being really great moms.
Enjoy your day.
Share some of your wisdom jewels. What are some of the most important lessons you’ve learnt from being a mother?
Wendy, xoxo
